Cinquefoil obtained attention!

After a conversation with David last night and reconfirming that no, I had not explored Mines of Moria without him, we agreed to level our hobbits together today for the first time since February 23, 2008. We leveled, not only once… but actually twice. Cinquefoil grew up a little bit, and now sits at level 39.

Was somewhat of an odd night honestly. We returned to a zone we had been questing in last time just to finish off the book chapters we were missing (mission quests basically for non-LOTRO people)… and I gasped when David didn’t want to stay there and do all the quests we hadn’t finished, he was perfectly fine and somewhat insisted with me to leave and continue with Trollshaws instead. Normally he’s the major completionist and won’t leave till all the deeds we’ll never use are completed too. I think he’s realizing the third expansion has been announced and will be out soon, and now wants to actually push through and see as much as he can for once before it’s fully outdated like has always been the case up till now and in WoW as well.

As a whole, it was a pretty good night. I enjoyed the parties we pulled together for most the group quests we did… it was the final group we joined and didn’t lead that had me clawing at my hair. The first leader, I liked him… was rather kind and patient… but a lot of the members weren’t, and we very stupidly went with them when they disbanded in a huff and were just absolute jackasses the entire way through. Three champions, David on guardian and a hunter, plus me minstrel healing. By no means with three champions should I ever die to random adds coming into aggro… but yet, I did. One mob that nearly killed me, a bat… I even said in party chat three fucking times, “BAT ON ME”, no one but David came to get it off while he was still busy with a drake. Champions are DPS, but are more than fully capable of off-tanking with or without the talents to equip heavy shields when the requirement arises. They wear heavy armour and have their own taunts. Never once saw them going off… not once. And I’m not saying this because I’m clueless, I’m saying this because I played my champion to 35 before I deleted her, and because the class is basically the exact same as warrior in FF, it’s not rocketfuckingscience. I don’t give a shit if you’re “not a tank”, if you have the ability to get it off the healer in light armour and anyone wearing anything heavier than that can… GET IT FUCKING OFF, I will heal you if it’s not hitting me! The overall bad, insulting and dickish mood of the party left me rather grouchy and by my final death.. I just disbanded right then and there, sat next to the Falls of Imradis and logged out with David’s character sitting next to me.

Most likely returning back to the grind of DRK tomorrow, since I was able to successfully reinstall POL today. We’ll see. I’m kind of burnt out on all ends right now and rather unmotivated as a whole.
