Bad players are a dime a dozen in MMOs, I’m pretty used to it. The only time they really make me raise a brow typically if one, they’re the tank… two, they keep “instructing” me how to play. It’s only when they repeatedly keep telling me how to play, that I get a wee more annoyed and have to rant about it.
This party started off in a way I just felt in my gut would be bad. The leader wasn’t talking to anyone much. He invites me as I’m seeking in Windurst, and doesn’t reconfirm anything like most do along the lines, “gather together at ____.” After I go through the task of taking my RSE out of storage, renewing my signet and logging Ashere in for a teleport, he finally says, “tell me when you there”. He sends me an mt as I reach Kazham and no more responses till he announces eight minutes before they can board. Whatever, I tab back to playing Sims 3 while I wait on them, seeing as I’m trying to get a random townie pregnant just to see what happens considering she’s married.
As the party arrives, I watch a little musical chairs of party members. And not in the sense, this guy had to go and this is his replacement. In the sense, this guy accidentally disbanded, was immediately replaced… then another guy was afk for five minutes while we zoned into the jungle and got kicked… and first guy that disbanded is reinvited and after one fight, kicked again for the one that was afk. Several minutes of absolute silence in party, me just waiting for the sync to be turned on so I can at least give myself book buffs, and just nothing.
We’re going to camp behind the OP location, that fence… but it takes awhile to actually get them all behind said gate… leader was thinking they could camp in front just because remember the person that kept getting kicked? He had been killing the goblins on his 50something THF. And after a lot of running back and forth while fighting mandies, because if a mandie came after the other SCH or I… the tank would follow it and not pull it back away in fear of sleepga… and this is when I see him pop his first ginger cookie. He was eating them as if it were a legitimate 30 minute food for a tank to eat.
He keeps sending me /t’s to only use Cure 1s to “stop hate from bouncing around”, and I replied once with, “The moment you know how to properly use ginger cookies is when you can tell me how to play.” After that I just ignored all future /t’s. It wasn’t till he made mention of it again within party chat that I snapped. “I’m sorry. But if you were wearing more armor than level 10, had rings, etc… I wouldn’t need to throw out so many II’s.” was my response.
His excuse? Quite a few.

It was when the SAM in the party had disconnected and he kept misspelling his name and was incapable of reinviting him… that I disbanded.

Wow . . . I've seen some bad gear, but that takes the cake.
I've seen gear like that a couple times around 50 before honestly. I made a post about one PLD I recall a couple years ago or so. I don't understand why it's usually always the tank of all people to gimp so badly too.
