With the advent of the Daily Lotteries (couldn’t find a link to the original announcement) Turbine is holding, I keep entering all my characters every chance I get. These have been going on for about a month, and for the most part had only won the “Welcome Wagon Lotto” twice on my AH mule… Last week though, I won the “Legendary Item Level-Up Lottery” on Mazurka. And since these items are bound, I would feel like a douche if I didn’t level up to actually use them… Mazurka is now nearly 36.
I’m also motivated to level her for the fact this is my character that is glitched on the my.lotro.com site, because when I deleted the level 19 character after failing my attempt to get to level 20 without dying for the Undying title and then recreated her… the site has Mazurka listed double. One is my current, and the other is the deleted… basically meaning I received everything twice, and I’d be a total douche if I didn’t take full advantage of this. Or at least it seems like I won everything twice. Some items did double, others just once, so it’s really odd.
Today I knocked North Downs quests down to I think just five left. I’m ready to leave the zone now, I’ve always hated it to begin with. It’s a bleak, colorless zone with an obscene amount of group quests that rarely ever coordinate well with other players. Planning on heading to Oatbarton and Evendim next. Not wanting the lake swims again, but at least it’s a more… uplifting zone to be in.
Soloing through these quests as hunter too… makes me a little sick. This is my fourth character through these levels and what I can solo as her, I can’t even imagine doing so as my prior three. I miss the stealth from Polecat, but even then… it’s hardly necessary. I can solo two or three signatures of my level at the same time. The shear amount of damage a hunter can do in a short amount of time. I rarely get hit as most things die a mile away.
She’ll be an awesome farming character when I finish her.

I play an RK (Kastagarian) and I often group with my gf (Nim) who is also a hunter. The DPS these to can can put out is crazy we burn through mobs rather quick. I can’t wait to see what the two of them can do at 60.
Btw, I really like the site. Not sure if it was posted on the Kins site or on the forums but have been reading it for at least two weeks now.
Hope to see you in game,

Lol… I always feel I’m anonymous and unseen whenever I write, always takes me off guard each time I see a new commenter, hehe. I posted a link in my introduction post and it’s also in my signature, so yea, you most likely found it on OME’s site… has to be, since I rarely post on forums anywhere as is
My other two characters are obviously minstrel and burglar… neither can do great damage (I actually think my mini out damages my burg flat out, even though I’ve had her built for healing and very few of her abilities crit). Just the absolute contrast between those two and the hunter’s damage is insane, lol. I can definitely see why it’s such a popular class (as if I didn’t before, just playing it really makes it scream at me).
I think my biggest hurdle is seeing if I can motivate myself to level through Moria another two times. /groan
I have heard a lot of people don’t really like Moria all that much. I guess I will find out why soon enough. Also would love to see what this turtle thing is all about.
I will have more time to level now that I have put “that other game” to the side.
We’re 57 on our duo characters now, but I’m doubtful we’ll hit 60 before Mirkwood and ever see Turtle in a real sense. Old raids disappear and people are rarely willing to go back to them once the gear is outdated.
Moria is hated so much because it’s a literal maze, and the tunnels are narrow making highly aggressive and linking mobs a nightmare to fight in closed areas. It was wonderful to see at first… but ugh, now I can never leave fast enough.
I could make the big push to hit 60 but I did that once before in the other game and it really was not worth it. I would much rather take time, work on rep and so on.
As for raids, I am not sure how they are in this game but once I get up there if you ever want to run “Old” content please let me know. I would hate to play this game and not see all of it.
Well, David and I will always be game (so long as we have the free time) to run anything. One of David’s biggest complaints is he keeps missing out on content when it comes to MMOs because he takes so long to level up… and because of the stipulation of me having to wait on him in LOTRO, I’ve missed out on nearly everything as well~
